A few months ago, in March 2024, Mahindra registered several new nomenclatures for its upcoming SUVs, including XUV 1XO, XUV 3XO, XUV 5XO, and XUV 7XO. While there was speculation that these names could be for electric versions, the launch of the XUV 3XO proved these claims wrong. As a result, it is possible that the XUV 7XO could be the renamed currently available in the market.

If the XUV 7XO is indeed the facelifted version of the XUV 700, we can expect significant updates and improvements. This could include changes to the exterior and interior design, as well as potential enhancements to the technology and features offered in the vehicle. The facelifted XUV 700 or XUV 7XO is likely to aim at further solidifying Mahindra’s position in the competitive SUV market, offering customers a refreshed and updated driving experience.

IS NEW MAHINDRA XUV 7XO A FACE LIFT?

Mahindra launched the XUV300 facelift with the new nameplate – the XUV 3XO. Similarly, expect the new XUV 7XO to be the facelift version of the XUV 700. The XUV700 was first launched in 2021 with some advanced features like Level-2 ADAS. As a powerful rival, Tata Safari received a major facelift which gave the SUV stylish design, luxury interior and a long list of features. The Safari clearly went ahead of the XUV700 and which is why it needs a facelift.

NOTABLE FEATURES OF MAHINDRA XUV 7X0:

The XUV700 is already a feature loaded and a luxury 7-seater SUV. With that being said, we might see tweaked headlamps, new bumpers, reworked tail lamps, and new sets of alloy wheels. Additionally, it also has features like – auto-dimming IRVM, second row captain seats with ventilation function, rear ADAS system, improved UI for the touchscreen system, and 6-Airbags as standard equipment. Mahindra will likely offer Harman Kardon Surround Sound System with Dolby Atmos feature.

ENGINE OPTIONS:

The XUV 7XO will keep the same engine options as the current model, which is a good thing because it has excellent petrol and diesel engines. The SUV has a 2.0-litre petrol engine that can produce 200bhp and 380Nm of torque, as well as a 2.2-litre diesel engine that can produce 185bhp and 450Nm of torque. It comes with both manual and automatic gearboxes, and it is the only SUV in its segment to offer AWD for off-road lovers.
