After a long wait, looks like Honda is ready to launch its first MADE IN INDIA SUV – “HONDA ELEVATE“. The segment is already swamped with stylish & highly featured 4+ meter cars like Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Grand Vitara, Hyryder, MG Astor. Let’s see what does the Honda Elevate have to offer?
Performance
Honda Elevate will have the 1.5 L petrol i-VTEC (same as Honda City) which is arguably the best performing, refined non turbo petrol engines in the market. The car will be offered in both 6 speed Manual & CVT automatic (with paddle shifters). Honda will also provide a hybrid engine for Elevate to improve the mileage and probably a diesel (i-DTEC) engine for performance enthusiasts.
We can expect the thinner profile 17 inch tyres from Honda in this car basis Honda’s legacy for better fuel efficiency.
Safety
Honda Elevate will share its platform with Honda AMAZE which has a scored a 4 Star in Global NCAP in Adult protection & 1 star in child protection earlier. The top models are expected to pack in up to 6 air bags, ADAS, collision avoid auto braking, Lane keep assist, blind view monitoring adding to its safety.
Features
The car is expected to have comfort features & high end upgrades like Leatherette upholstery, wireless charging, wireless Android auto / Apple car-play, electronic parking & hill assist, blind view monitoring above the generic features like ventilated seats, 360 camera, rear ac vents, electrically adjustable seats.
Other styling features – Roof rails, Panoramic sunroof, led head lamps & tail lamps.
Expected Pricing : 14-21 Lakhs
Expected Launch Date : Diwali (Sep – Oct 2023)
